Hi, my name is Troy Corbitt. I’m a Junior studying Information Science at Cornell University with a focus on UX/UI, Behavioral Science and Data Science. I started my “design journey” with human computer interaction, which allowed me to utilize my creative side. Since then, I have completed various projects that have allowed me to tap into this aspect of myself.
My design philosophy revolves around the concept of failing successfully—embracing each misstep as an opportunity for deeper insight and growth. I believe in the value of iterative testing and rapid prototyping, allowing ideas to evolve and improve through constructive failures. By learning from user feedback and experimenting with new approaches, I am constantly refining designs that meet user expectations and adapt to dynamic environments. Each failure adds to a process that is richer, more user-centered, and ultimately more successful.
It all began with a simple frustration: why was it so hard to find what I needed in an app called Dokkan Battle? I’d wonder why it felt like a maze of menus and icons, with every answer buried in layers of screens. That frustration sparked a question that would guide my journey: What if my design could make things easier
After diving into courses at Cornell, like Human-Computer Interaction I realized design was more than just an interest—it was my purpose. To me, design is problem-solving with intention.
I'm drawn to the cutting edge of design, where creativity fuels innovation. I envision crafting unique solutions that transform everyday interactions into memorable moments, pushing the boundaries of what design can achieve.
